Australia

The World Yisrael Beytenu Movement (Beytenu Olami) is active in Australia and is represented locally by the Australian Forum of Russian-speaking Jewry, which aims to: reinforce the support of Australia’s Russian-speaking Jews for the State of Israel, encourage tourism to Israel, support Australian Israel advocacy efforts, and connect the local community with the history of the Jewish people, as well as its values and traditions.

Some 30-50,000 Russian-speaking Jews live in Australia today. This is one of the farthest removed communities from Jewish organizations that work alongside Diaspora Jewry—and not just on a geographic level.

In 2015, for the first time, the Australian Forum achieved representation in the World Zionist Congress on behalf of the Russian Jewish community in Australia!
